Superfood Smoothies

Our Superfood Smoothies are made from real fruits and vegetables, with nothing added and nothing taken out except the water. Fresh produce is flash-frozen and slow-dried to capture its nutrients, fiber, color and flavor in a convenient powder.

A smoothie contains the equivalent of 50% of the recommended daily intake of fruits and vegetables.

To make a delicious smoothie with your kencko smoothie packet we recommend using a blender, for the perfect texture: add your preferred liquid, a kencko smoothie packet, and other ingredients to make your smoothie even richer, such as fresh or frozen fruit, protein powder, seeds, etc.

If you prefer doing it on the go and use a kencko bottle, follow these steps:

  1. Check our mixer suggestions on the packet - it will specify a quantity of water, milk, or both.
  2. Pour your preferred liquid (chilled water, plant-based, or dairy milk) into the bottle to the relevant fill line, or into your blender.
  3. Add the contents of one kencko smoothie packet to the liquid.
  4. Securely close the bottle and shake vigorously to ensure thorough mixing.

We also suggest in a yogurt: add the contents of a kencko smoothie packet to your yogurt, mix well, and enjoy an extra-nutritious and delicious snack.

Note: Different kencko flavors may work better with milk or water, so check the packet or mixer recommendations for guidance. For optimal freshness, enjoy your smoothie soon after preparation, preferably within an hour. Our smoothies are designed to be portable in powder form, and prepared when you’re ready for one.

WARNING: For safety reasons, the kencko shaker bottle should NEVER be used with hot or carbonated liquids, or put in a microwave.

Once mixed with liquid, kencko smoothies behave just like fresh fruit and will begin to oxidize and ferment in the bottle. This process is sped up in direct sunlight or in warmer temperatures. The pressure that builds with fermentation can lead to bottle breakage.

It’s best to drink your kencko smoothie right away, but if you’re going to wait, be sure to store it in the fridge and drink it within 24 hours. Clean the bottle as soon as possible after use and never leave it lying around with leftover liquid inside.

Each smoothie has at least two and a half servings of fruit and/or vegetables — the equivalent of two and a half cups (200g) of fresh produce.

We find most people drink kencko at least once a day, either in the morning or as a quick and healthy pick-me-up later in the day. Enjoy kencko any time, as part of a varied diet, to help reach your daily fruit and vegetable goal - the recommended minimum is five cup-sized servings a day.

Don't worry! Not every try works out perfectly. There are three main things you can do to help your smoothie powder dissolve evenly:

  1. Massage the packet well before you open it, to break up any clumps.
  2. Always add the liquid first, then the powder.
  3. Give the bottle a gentle swirl to wet all the powder before you start shaking.
  4. Alternatively, if you're at home, use a blender. That way, you'll have an extra creamy smoothie!

Please be aware that kencko smoothies are made from real fruits and vegetables, including all the pulp/fiber - so they don’t dissolve in the same way as, say, an electrolyte or vitamin supplement powder. The texture should be smooth but pulpy, like a blended fruit drink.

(In order to keep our smoothies as close to nature as possible, we do not add artificial anti-caking agents. In some storage conditions, the fruit and vegetable powders we use in our smoothies can settle over time and become less free-flowing. This is normal, and does not alter the flavor or nutritional content of the smoothie.)

We print a "Best Before" date on the kencko packets, which indicates for how long it will be at its freshest.

This is a measure of quality, not a reflection of food safety. It's still safe to consume our products for up to three months after the printed "Best Before" date. Since our products are made of natural ingredients, you might notice small changes in color, texture, and/or flavor.

The "Best Before" date includes a month and a year, meaning the product will still be at optimal freshness until the last day of that month.

Our products are made from freeze-dried plant foods, and nothing else. We don’t add sweeteners, colors, fillers or preservatives. You can read the full list of excluded ingredients here. Performance Smoothies

Each performance smoothie contains 11g-12g of plant-based protein.

We also would like to point out that one protein smoothie makes up 10% of the recommended daily iron intake for a standard 2000-calorie diet. They also contain one cup of fruit and veggies per serving with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners - only the good stuff!

The protein comes from a blend of pea, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds. It is 100% plant-based and contains all 9 essential amino acids.

Mix our performance smoothies with any milk of your choice. Our personal favorites include soy milk or oat milk.

We do not recommend using water as there’s a risk of ingredients not mixing as well. If you’re having a hard time getting things to mix to your liking, give it all a few pulses in your blender.

Nutrition

Our products are not designed to replace meals. However, we recommend using your choice of milk or mixing it with yogurt to make them more filling.

Please note that all kencko products may contain oats (gluten). Our production facility handles oats, so we can't guarantee our products are entirely free from trace amounts of gluten.

We always recommend consulting your doctor on questions like these, but for background info on our smoothies:

  • Each kencko has about 8 grams of naturally occurring sugar (from fruits and vegetables), 15-17 grams of carbohydrates, and 3-4 grams of fiber. We don't use any added sugars and we don't remove any of the fiber during processing.
  • When it comes to diabetes, you want to ensure you consume carbohydrates that contain fiber (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes) versus refined carbohydrates (white flour and processed products) that do not contain fiber. You should also always try to pair your carbohydrates with either a source of protein, healthy fats, or both, to slow the absorption of the sugars. The natural sugars from fruits and vegetables come accompanied with fiber, which allows for slow and steady absorption of the sugars, without a significant spike in blood levels.
  • Our smoothies can be nicely paired with a meal or consumed as a snack (preferably with the milk of your choice since the milk provides protein and fats). It's also recommended to always monitor your blood glucose levels more closely when making any changes to your diet.

Our products are made exclusively with fruits and veggies and are 100% vegan-friendly. As for keto-friendly, everyone does the keto diet differently, with daily carb limits ranging from 20-50 grams. Our products do not contain any added sugars or sweeteners: just fresh fruit and veggies.

Subscription renewals will allow for more customization.

Once you activate your account, you can manage your subscription and upcoming orders through the customer area. This is what you can change:

Orders

Yes, you can. We recommend that you order on subscription: the pricing is better and we believe in helping people develop lasting, healthy habits around fruits and veggies.

That said, our subscriptions are super flexible and can be canceled or adjusted at any time.

Use your customer area if you need to change or cancel an order. Note that your order cannot be changed, canceled, or rerouted to a new address less than 24 hours before your subscription is scheduled to renew.

If your order has already been billed, unfortunately, it cannot be changed or canceled.

Please email ask@kencko.com with photos of the box showing the visible label and all items lined up with product names facing up. Don't forget to let us know if something's missing!

We're sorry about your delayed order! Most orders are delivered within 8 to 10 business days, so we recommend monitoring your parcel during this time.

However, some factors are outside our control, and shipping delays can happen. If you have not received your order by then or you don't have an order confirmation email, please email us at ask@kencko.com.

Order or subscription changes must be made from your account dashboard at least 24 hours before your subscription is scheduled to renew. Check the reminder email — sent two days in advance — to find out the date of your next renewal, or log in to your customer area.

If your order has already been billed, unfortunately, it cannot be changed or canceled.

Shipping & Delivery

Your order will be shipped within 2 business days of purchase, and delivery typically takes 8–10 business days. You can track it using the link in your shipping confirmation email.

Subsequent shipments are determined by the date of your original order and the defined shipping frequency. You can manage these through your customer area.

kencko is made in Europe and ships globally from our fulfillment center in Lisbon, Portugal. We work exclusively with FDA-compliant facilities that meet all FDA requirements.

If there’s an issue with your order or products, please contact us at ask@kencko.com within 28 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right. Depending on the situation, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or a refund.

We recommend storing the unopened packets in a cool, dry place protected from daylight. After opening an individual packet, use the contents immediately. The powder is sensitive to moisture and will clump if left open.

The kencko bottle should be cleaned regularly with soap and warm water. Remove the black filter disc before washing, and allow the bottle sections to dry separately before reassembling.

If you’re not washing your kencko bottle right away, give it a quick rinse under the faucet and remove the lid before you store it or stack it in the sink or dishwasher. All that healthy, natural fiber in our smoothies can leave tiny little bits behind, and they wash off more easily while they’re still wet. If you're using a dishwasher, we recommend you dismantle the bottle and wash it on the top shelf in a lower-temperature cycle. And please note that if your bottle is run through a cycle with other items containing foods with strong colors (like a bowl holding some residual marinara sauce), staining can occur.
